This image is a study in contrasts of texture, color and shape. The rough texture of the stones is set off by the mirror surface of the water. The saffron-spotted rocks compliment and contradict the sapphire waters as they compete for the viewer’s attention. The cerulean hues and white clouds of the sky are perfectly reflected in the liquescent mirror, except for the intrusion of the stones into the reflection.
